The FFX Yamaha team head to Silverstone this weekend for the penultimate round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship with Filip Backlund aiming to build on his top ten finish at Assen whilst Andy Reid is bidding to capture the lead in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class.Backlund scored the team their first top ten finish in the second race at Assen and is bidding to add to his points tally in the two races on Sunday. In the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship Reid trails standings leader Kyle Ryde by three points and is determined to battle for the upper hand ahead of the season finale at Brands Hatch later this month.

Backlund said: "Between my two first races with FFX Yamaha it has been a lot of things to learn and to think about. During a race weekend it is hard to have the time to go through everything that happens, so I have been back home to Sweden in between and that has been good as it gave me the chance to go through everything. It's good because every time I'm out on the bike we learn something new and can improve. My expectation for the weekend is to continue our progress so we can move steadily up the ranks and hopefully before the end of the year get on the podium."

Reid said: “First off it is a relief to get back out this weekend as I have been buzzing to get back on the bike and race again after the break since Donington Park. I have been keeping myself active and I am looking forward to the race. I think the track should be good for the Yamaha so if we can work as we usually do from the start of the weekend then we have a good chance to be fighting for the win.”
